What a reTREAT!

Coaching is my absolute passion! Whether that is 1:1 or group classes, I love helping people be as fit and healthy as possible while keeping it engaging and fun.

As some of you may already know, I have been exploring the world of retreats and workshops to see whether offering specific events throughout the year would work well for the AMHF community.

With starting something new there are inevitably going to be challenges. However, with everything I've learnt so far and despite some set backs, retreats and workshops are most certainly worth pursuing! The biggest learn for me was giving folks more notice about these events. In my ignorance, I thought that 3 months notice would be enough time but having done further research most experts in this space suggest 6 months for local events or up to a year for events overseas.

The reason for sharing this with you is because off the back of my experiences (and feedback) this year there are going to be some exciting retreat and workshop events coming in 2024! Yay! These events will all be in the Sussex area to begin with and if these prove a success I will explore the possibility of hosting events further afield in the future.

Some of the events next year will be a collaboration with other fitness professionals that I really admire and who I feel will add great value to your health & fitness journey too. Some events will also include some lovely holistic experiences such as facials, massages and meditation.

I'm really excited about this project and will be sharing more about it with you in the Autumn so watch this space : )

Client of the Month

The AMHF client of the month for August is Caroline Fritche!

Caroline has been a regular class participant since the beginning of this year attending circuits, strength & conditioning and the new(ish) Sunday Run Clinic. She always turns up to class with great energy and works extremely hard.

Despite having to deal with a knee injury recently, she never uses that as an excuse to not take part even if it means adapting certain exercises. Caroline is also a regular Park Runner and tennis player and from what I hear, her consistent class attendance is helping support and improve performance in those activities too!

As a retired physiotherapist, Caroline is extremely knowledgeable about the human body and has been very helpful to members of our group (including me!) if a question or two pops up about aches and pains.

Very well done Caroline for all you hard work! Thank you for being such an important part of our community!

Wild weather at this year's Worthing Fire Station Open Day and Broadwater Carnival

A huge thank you to those who visited my stall to say hello and an extra big thank you to those who bought raffle tickets! It was lovely to see familiar faces and to meet new people too.

Despite the terrible weather and having to pack up way earlier than expected, we raised £31 for Go Youth Activities which AMHF will match to make the total donation £62! Great effort everyone for a very worthy cause!

PS this photo was taken in a moment of calm before the wind picked up and started blowing everything around haha!

Much love, Amalia Amalia Montague Health & Fitness
